How good are emu oil based products really?

In August 2006 I was operating a stall for 10 days at the Brisbane “Ekka”. For this 10 day period I was on my feet all day and averaged about 5 hours sleep a night. To help me get through this hectic time and to try and keep me reasonably presentable, I applied liberal quantities of Eye Cream to my face and Hand and Foot Cream to my feet before going to bed each night. On the last night - when I was feeling totally exhausted - I noticed before going to bed that I did not have any bags under my eyes. This could only be due to the anti-inflammatory and skin conditioning qualities of the emu oil. Although there could have been an additional benefit coming from the 200 ml of Pure and Lemon Scented Emu Oil that I also consumed during the show. Whether this was also helping with my general well being I am not sure, but it certainly did not cause any digestive or other health problems.

Australian aborigines are reportedly one of the oldest human races on the planet. This suggests to me that emu oil must be one of the oldest NATURAL Anti-inflammatory products used by mankind.
